iGlaze Ion: CES 2016 Innovation Awards Honoree

CES 2016 might not be until January, but the excitement is already building for the largest consumer technology tradeshow of the year.

Today, we’re proud to announce that iGlaze Ion, Moshi’s new slide-on battery case, has been named a CES 2016 Innovation Awards Honoree. The prestigious CES Innovation Awards Honorees reflect innovative design and engineering in some of the most cutting edge tech products, and we’re so happy that the judging panel loved iGlaze Ion as much as we do.

So, what makes iGlaze Ion unique?

Innovative Design

iGlaze Ion’s two-piece design delivers double battery life when you need it and slim, stylish protection when you don’t. Unlike other battery cases that retain a bulky form factor, the newest addition to the iGlaze family allows you to remove the battery pack when not charging and still have a stylish case to protect your iPhone.

What if you want some color and style variety but still want the benefits of a battery case? An added bonus of iGlaze Ion’s slide-on design (one that we are really excited about) is that you aren’t limited to just one inner case! Moshi’s iGlaze Napa leatherette case, which comes in four rich colors, is also compatible with the iGlaze Ion battery pack.

Best-In-Class Charging

At 2750 mAh, iGlaze Ion will double the battery life of your iPhone 6/6s, fully charging it in 2 hours. However, what happens when you need to charge the battery pack at the same time?

Our lab tests have proven iGlaze Ion to have the fastest simultaneous charging time on the market today, outperforming all other iPhone 6/6s battery cases. This means that you can charge your iPhone and iGlaze Ion – together – from 0 to 100 percent in just 2.73 hours when using a 2.1 A wall charger. You can also charge iGlaze Ion by itself from 0 to 100 percent in 2 hours if you so choose.

Additionally, iGlaze Ion’s internal circuitry knows when your iPhone is at full capacity and will stop charging to save battery. The battery pack’s charging ability is activated by a button opposed to a power switch, so if the battery pack is accidentally turned on while the iPhone is not attached, the pack will turn itself off after 25 seconds to save power.

iGlaze Ion will be on display in Las Vegas at CES 2016, but you won’t need to wait until January to check it out. iGlaze Ion will be launching in the North America next Tuesday, Nov. 17, just in time for the holiday season!
